“On behalf of the parish family of St. Peter’s in Lowville with our sister churches of St. Mary’s in Glenfield and St. Hedwig’s in Houseville, I would like to welcome you to our web site. As you look over our pages I hope you get a small glimpse of our vibrant, multi-generational Church communities. While each of our parishes has its own personality and flavor each is dedicated to living our faith in Jesus Christ.

A Roman Catholic Church is much more than a beautiful church building where Christians gather, it is a parish home where Jesus Christ is celebrated and experienced.  Since Our Lord celebrated the Last Supper, believers have “devoted themselves to the teaching of the Apostles, and the communal life, the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.” (Acts 2: 43) We at Saint Peter’s, Saint Mary’s and Saint Hedwig’s, remain devoted to the teaching of the Apostles through our unity with our Bishop, Terry LaValley and our Holy Father Pope Benedict the 16th, successors of the Apostles. As members of the Ancient Church of Rome, we share a rich communal life of love and service here in Lewis County which in nourished by the celebration of the Eucharist and the other Sacraments given by Christ himself.
